Luckily I still had enough pins for blocking the stole
A few month’s ago I said that I was never going to knit another shawl in black yarn again. Totally forgotten about this statement, I started in December a lace stole in black alpaca. What a challenge she was, even on a sunny day or with a day-light lamp I found it difficult to work the stitches the right way.
The complete stole blocking on my bed, guarded by our cat ;-)
Well, she is finished now and I love her! It is a delight to wear her on these early spring days when it is to warm for a cardigan and to cold to do without.
Unblocked: 58 cm x 136 cm, blocked: 86 cm x 150 cm
Yarn: 4 skeins of Drops Alpaca 8903
Needles: Addi Lace 120 cm, 3.5 mm
Pattern: Lughnasadh, Goddess Knits
Stitchmarkers: 27
Wat prachtig geworden! Met zwart dit soort patronen breien is inderdaad soms lastig. Maar het was volgens mij in dit geval de moeite meer dan waard!
Zwat zo leuk om te dragen maar inderdaad niet zo leuk om te breien. Maar het is het resultaat dat telt en dat ziet er fantastisch uit

Wat is je shawl mooi geworden Serena! Volgens mij had je deze in Zwolle op de handwerkbeurs ook bij je en dacht ik toen nog “wat moet je een moed hebben om lace in zwart te breien”. Fantastisch!
