Preparing fleece

Shetland Fleece

Dirty staples

Tearing the staples apart

This week I was preparing some of the shetland fleece Mareoun I bought from Betty this summer.  A lovely work to do, smelling the dirty fleece, a  bit of tearing the staples, getting nice soft hand of the fat wool. Although I have prepared about 1 kilo to get washed, I wasn’t a hard job to do. Most of the dirt was already picked out by Betty. Half a kilo is already washed and carded, the second batch I will do today.

Prachtig, nu kun je dus weer verven en spinnen. Ik ben benieuwd hoe het verder wordt.
