Serious doubts…

The 4rd challenge of the sock knitters pentathlon is Ziggy. It is my first time stranded knitting. I like a challenge, learning new techniques. So I decided to give it a try! I started using a black uni (Opal) and multi green/yellow (Boterbloemen in het gras / Wolwereld) A funky color combination with a very bold effect. My challenge was learning two-handed stranded knitting with nice not-so-tight floats. Well this works! 

I have knitted about half of the foot right now. I have some serious doubts…  keep on knitting or frog it? Most of the times I am very impulsive; with any doubt, the project is frogged, this time I can’t really decide. I give myself some more time. 

I find knitting this pattern so boring now I know the technique. Why bother myself with boring knitwork? Shall I make this sock real bold by adding more colored stripes? Start all over using different colors? Just quit knitting projects of the SKP? Use my time to knit another stranded knitting sock in a pattern I really love?Perhaps another option pops up in my mind….

Decision made!
I frogged it, whow… this feels like a relief!

    Ik vond het ook erg mooi worden. Maar als het niet goed voelt dan moet je dat gevoel gewoon volgen. Dat heb je dus ook gedaan en blijkbaar is de opluchting groot. Dan was het dus de juiste keuze.

    Ik begin niet eens aan Ziggy. Ik vind het patroon gewoon niet mooi/leuk. Ik kan mij dus ook helemaal voorstellen dat je het saai breien vind.
    Ik ben dus niet meer in de race, maar ik was toch al geen kanshebber!

    De kleurenkombinatie was heel geslaagd volgens mij. Maar breien moet leuk blijven. Als de verveling reeds in het eerste deel toeslaat wat geeft dit niet na één sok. Dan kun je inderdaad beter uithalen dan met een eenlingetje te blijven zitten. En er zijn nog zoveel patronen die het wel waard zijn om gebreid te worden
