Sokketiers - Luchtige vlindersok

Sokketiers - Luchtige vlindersok

I managed to make a nice picture of my feet, wearing the “Luchtige vlindersok”. This pattern is designed by Ballee for the Sokketiers sockclub. The yarn is 50% wool / 50% tencel, hand-dyed by Storm in the Attic.

I loved knitting this pair of socks, the yarn is so light and soft, the tiny butterflies make this easy pattern interesting to knit. The tencel makes the sock a bit cooler to wear; a nice sock for the springtime!

Scottish stockings

Scottish stockings

The Highland Schottische Kilt Hose by Nancy Bush is my first pair of stockings ever made for myself. I hope to wear them a lot! They fit nicely and look good in front …. the back of leg doesn’t look that elegant due my huge calves … :-(
The pattern is in the book Folk Socks. A lovely book, with lot’s of inspiring patterns. I have used Annell Super Extra sockyarn in the color 2002 from my stash. Finishing these stocking meet my Knit from the Shelf and Destash intentions :-)

2nd handwoven scarf

2nd handwoven scarf

And last ….. my 2nd handwoven scarf!
I had a lot of fun weaving this sample scarf, using about 6 different patterns out of the “A handweaver’s pattern book“ I mentioned earlier. I have used 3 kinds of yarns; a turkoois and bottle green yarn I got in larges cones from a friend and a half a skein of a moss green tweed “Klazien’s Kreatie Shetlands Wolle. I have learned a lot making this scarf; how to work with several colors, how to read a draft and …. how to fix a broken warp. I’ll take this scarf with me to my lessons to work on solvings lot’s of questions – yep as allways I was so curious to experiment that I could’t wait ;-)
