WIP: the beekeeper’s quilt
Like at least 2700 other people I am working on the beekeeper’s quilt.
Knitting my puff with scraps of purples and greens, with bits of pink, petrol & naturals.
I work the hexies during my (daily) lighttherapy.
It feels good to finish a little something everyday
Each puff weights approx. 3 – 3,5 gram per piece (yarn and wool filling).
I have knitted 145 puffs so far. This morning I tossed them all on the floor
and laid them in a grid, just as random as they fall down.
If I sew them now, the quilt would measure 60 x 70 cm.
I love the result.
Currently I am running out of scrapyarn in my preferred colors.
Do I buy suitable yarn, dye it myself, swap it with other people,
or just finish the quilt at this point. I don’t know yet ….
